The client is a large auto parts and accessories manufacturer headquartered in Europe with factories and offices worldwide.

THE CHALLENGE

The client engaged multiple teams of clerks to process their Accounts Payable invoices that came in varied forms and formats (from paper to scanned images as PDF or image files) to their manufacturing plants across the globe. The flow of invoices was inconsistent. Whenever there was an increase in the number of invoices, the team had challenges in making timely payments and availing the early payment discounts offered by their vendors. In addition to payment delays, the client also had the issue of inaccuracies in payment, which resulted in low vendor satisfaction levels. All these imposed a huge challenge for the client in terms of their ability to expand sales.
